Prof. Saroj Sharma is associated with different dimensions of Education at various levels in contemporary educational system and addressing the quality concerns of the respective streams.

She has rich and varied academic experience as seasoned faculty member and sound administrative experience as academic Head of different Institutions offering the Graduate and Post graduate degrees of Education (B.Ed. M.Ed.). She has been the first Dean of the University School of Education, Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha Univesity, New Delhi in the respective stream of Education.

She is member of many educational associations and actively involved in various projects of UNICEF, UNESCO, ICSSR and other social and cultural forums. Presently she is member in the Governing Bodies, Board of Studies and Academic Councils of many Universities of India. She has also been member of various Curriculum-Development and Frame work formation teams at the National and International levels in the field of different strata of School curriculum as well as of Teacher Education. Some of her significant publications include - various books on Education and several course books and modules in Post Graduate Diploma for School Leadership and Management (PGDSLM), Diploma in Elementary Education and B.Ed. and      M. Ed. Programmes and Ph.D. course work of different Universities. She is empanelled as Evaluator in different leading National Universities and Apex Educational bodies in India and abroad.

She has expertise in organizing Research Workshops and various Faculty Development and Capacity Building Programmes. She is keenly interested in various Community Service and SUPW Programmes and its incorporation and implementation in Contemporary Education System. Presently she is working on the concepts of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and Public Private Partnership (PPP) Model in the field of Education.

She is in the Advisory and Editorial Boards of many Journals of Education and has contributed a number of articles and research papers in National and International Journals of repute.

She has been a member of the consultation committee constituted by NCTE for the formulation of New Education Policy-2016 under the umbrella of MHRD then and had been member in a few other educational programme implementation committees (PICs) of MHRD. She has also been in the standing committee of NCTE and also Chair of the Open Education Resources Development (OERs), Committee of NCTE.

She is striving hard to attain academic excellence at personal and professional level with a mission of restructuring the current educational scenario for the quality enhancement and assurance in the field of Education.
